Similarly, messages of condolences to the MP and his family are being sent through various media with many even saying his wife’s death had ominously been preempted by the two mishaps that happened to Moswaane this past week.
TRIPLE TRAGEDY: It has not been a good week for Honourable Moswaane – on Wednesday he was suspended from his long-time political home, Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) and on Friday he was thrown out of a parliamentary committee meeting by it’s chairperson Dithapelo Koorapetse. This Saturday he then learnt of his wife’s death having been admitted at Sidilega Private Hospital, where she died.
Confirming the death of his wife this evening, MP Moswaane said he was out of town when she passed on Saturday afternoon having hoped to return to see her again this Sunday after last seeing her on Thursday. The devastated MP could not immediately reveal the cause of her death but many via social media observed that his troubles over the past week were some form of premonition to the the tragedy that befell his family.
His long time ally within the BDP Buti Billy, also Assistant Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport wrote: “I am saddened by the passing of Mma Moswaane, but I am then reminded of St Paul when he says ‘Beyond death is life everlasting.’ Let’s keep Hon Moswaane and Family in our Prayers as they go through this trying time. To my colleague, friend, brother Hon Ignatious Mokwaledi Best Moswaane, even in this situation GOD is still GOD. Gomotsegang mme le gomotsegele ruri.”
