Botswana’s leading national newspaper The Voice on Monday afternoon annoucenced the passing of their Publisher, Beata Kasale who reportedly had been ill and hospitalised at Bokamoso Private Hospital. Tonnes of tributes immediately started pouring in as soon a the newspaper published the news of her death which happened today at the hospital.
The newspaper’s statement reads: It is with deepest sorrow and grief that we inform you of the passing of The Voice Newspaper Publisher and visionary, Beata Kasale. Kasale, a hard working and fearless leader, loving mother, devoted wife, and doting grandmother transitioned to glory this morning (Monday June 18th) at Bokamoso hospital at the age of 57.
She had bravely fought her battle with sugar diabetes for many years during which she never lost her drive, her smile, and her commitment to her work and to journalism and social justice. Kasale is survived by four children, her husband, Patrick Kabango and grandchildren. May Her Soul Rest in Peace.
