Safe Male Circumcision is a voluntary medical circumcision that is an effective HIV prevention strategy. Once men are circumcised through SMC their chances of contracting Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’S) such as syphilis and herpes are greatly reduced. It lowers the risk of penile cancer in men and cervical cancer in females. Male circumcision improves penile hygiene and reduces the risk of urinary tract infections. SMC coupled with other HIV prevention measures that include the correct and consistent use of male and female condoms, partner reduction and abstinence we can avert new HIV infections.
Be smart, smart man make smart choices, help reduce HIV infections by getting circumcised today to reduce the spread of HIV.(ACHAP)
