Women’s Etiquette Brunch (WEB)’s sixth instalment promises nothing but a day filled with life’s wise lessons this Saturday 20th July at Avani Gaborone Resort and Casino, starting at 0930hrs.

This year’s event, which is headlined by extraordinary South African actress and business woman Leleti Khumalo, boasts a panel of few women who have awe-inspiring life stories to share. Khumalo actually needs no introduction – she is that socio-political icon who was catapulted to her star status by her role in the paradigm shifting epic movie Sarafina.

DIVERSE ISSUES: The women will be discussing different topics on overcoming challenges

Founder of this event, Michelle Phetlhe from ESTeRES Botique Agency, told this publication that the brunch is an experiential one stop shop that
gives attendants a platform to draw from words of nourishment and specifically embolden the audience of women looking to become the best versions of themselves. The event will be hosted by the dynamic and dynamite Mimi Dintwa.

Phetlhe is of the view that the role of women has over time transformed and transcended regular expectations. She said there is a consistent need for maintenance and refurbishment for them to unwind.

“This is where personal development events such as the Women’s Etiquette Brunch (WEB) play a pivotal socio-economic role in the lives of women. The modern day woman, existing in the current paradigm of a life that demands more needs encouragement, nurture and consistent inspiration,” Phetlhe said, emphasizing that women are thought leaders, industry captains, homemakers, entrepreneurs and social pillars.

This year’s brunch is not really different from the past WEB events whose overall mandate have always been to empower women. The headline guest of the day, Khumalo, will be leading on the topic; ‘Strength of a woman, The fire within.’ She will be focusing on her career path and personal life story of overcoming insurmountable odds to now living with a rare skin condition  -vitiligo – whilst persisting with her endeavours.

Co-founder of Sprint Couriers, one of Botswana’s biggest A-to-B ‘products and goods’ transportation companies, Michelle Gebrial, will be sharing her entrepreneurship journey under the topic; ‘Every Opportunity Counts.’

Fire brand broadcaster of note Tebogo Sekgoma, popularly known as ‘Lady of Soul,’ will engage the audience on the walk in her shoes as she will be addressing the topic ‘Purpose and Restoration’ gained over the last few tumultuous years.

WEB always incorporates a health aspect to its talks, and this year, Specialist Chiropractor, Dr. Machere Venter will be addressing varying backache and body posture issues that women go through in different stages of life
